ABOUT GBENGA ASHAFA

Gbenga Ashafa (born 22nd July 1955) is a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria from Lagos State. He represents Lagos East in the current 8th National Assembly. He is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

WORK IN THE SENATE

Senator Gbenga Ashafa was elected to the Nigerian Senate in April 2011 and re-elected in 2015. Over the course of his term at the Senate, he has sponsored twelve bills including the Income Tax Holiday Bill and the Harmful Waste Act Bill.

PROJECTS

Senator Ashafa has delivered community development projects through the Gbenga Ashafa Trust Endowment (G.A.T.E), and infrastructure development projects through his constituency offices across Lagos East since 2011.

APC

Senator Ashafa is a member of the All Progressives Congress. He was the Secretary of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) Senate Caucus until the fusion of the ACN into the All Progressives Congress.
